Day 2: Casting on and knitting

The 30 Day Sweater Course walks you through how to make a sweater to fit the way you want it to. You could make anything from a cropped cardigan to a men's pullover. Or maybe a sweater as a baby shower gift!

My sweater design is a loose pullover with a wide neck, 3/4 length sleeves and a hem that hits at the hip. I love an oversized fit and would love to throw a sweater on with a white shirt, leggings and boots. Sounds perfect!

I measured myself and I measured my gauge swatch. Then I plugged all those numbers in to the magical 30 Day Sweater worksheets and *POOF!* I have a sweater design! I grabbed my knitting needles and cast on.

Then I got knitting. To keep on track to complete my sweater in 30 days the worksheet recommends that I knit 3" today. As you can see I'm about halfway there and I really like the way the red poppy Wooly Worsted yarn is looking. I think it will be the perfect sweater for fall. I hope you'll follow along on my October sweater-knitting journey
