Today I'm excited to show you a new book by our friend Mercedes Tarasovich-Clark. Mercedes has been a happy influence and supporter of Ewe Ewe since she and I first met and her new book Brioche Chic includes some Wooly Worsted yarn!
Brioche Chic is a beautiful collection of brioche stitch knitting patterns and instructions. Brioche knitting is an interesting technique that is a bit different than a regular knitted or purled stitch. It creates an incredibly bouncy fabric and really shows off the stitch definition.
Inside, the tutorial instructions and illustrations do a great job of teaching this alternative knitting technique. There are easy get-you-started projects like the Basic Brioche Scarf and Basic Brioche Cowl. Both are so cute!
Once you get the hang of brioche knitting you can move right in to some pretty amazing garments. Add regular knitting techniques like cables or make yourself an adorable Smocked Blouse. Want dat!
From gorgeous garments and shaping you can move on to brioche colorwork. Look at this amazing Reversible Infinity Cowl! It is knitted with Ewe Ewe Wooly Worsted yarn in Aquamarine and Charcoal. The two colors really show the depth and beauty of the brioche stitches. Plus, this cowl doesn't have a right side or a wrong side, it really is reversible!
Our soft, bouncy merino yarn is only made better by the creative brioche stitches Mercedes designed. This cowl is squishy and super soft and you'll want to wear it all winter long.
And!! I've decided to give two lucky winners the yarn to make the Reversible Infinity Cowl and their own copy of Brioche Chic!
To enter, simply visit the Brioche Chic page on Ravelry, and then leave a comment here telling me your favorite project from the new book.
