It's week 3 of the 30 Day Sweater Challenge! I'm Jen Geigley, guest posting from makeXdo, and I wanted to share my progress on my child-sized Ewe Ewe Wooly Worsted raglan colorblocked sweater. Last week, I finished my raglan increases and separated the sleeves from the body. And obviously this week, I knit the body and added a 1x1 rib bottom edge in Wooly Worsted Orange Peel. It's always exciting to finish knitting the body of any sweater, but I was really looking forward to knitting the orange on this hem!
One thing I needed to plan for this week was a four-day trip to NYC, during which I knew I wouldn't have much time to knit. Luckily, this printable sweater planning calendar is included in the 30 Day Sweater Challenge and I'm surprised that something so simple can really help keep me on track. (But it works!) Writing down my daily and weekly goals has made everything feel so much more doable. I was able to knit ahead before I left for my trip, leaving a very manageable amount of catch-up knitting when I got home. And now I'm right where I'm supposed to be. I can't wait to get started on my sleeves – we're definitely on the home stretch now!
