Drawn to Knit

I spent some time in LA today visiting some yarn stores – including the most beautiful color organized store, Knit Culture – and took a break to hang out and knit. I was relaxing, soaking up the sun when an artist approached me and asked if he could draw me knitting. I was flattered and said yes!

I kept knitting under the palm trees. We chatted and he sketched away. I took a lot of figure drawing classes in college but was never the subject model so it was kind of fun. While we sat there I noticed him checking my hair and examining the background. I wondered what would appear on the paper. After about 15 minutes he was done!

I love it! Now I'll always have a little reminder of how nice it is to take a break and knit. Ahhh...
