Hello! It’s me, Heather, owner of Ewe Ewe Yarns.
Welcome to my weekly feature on the Ewe Ewe blog about living a creative life. Here you’ll find a few things that have inspired me lately. I love to knit and crochet but I also enjoy gardening, cooking and photography. I’ll chat about where I’m knitting, what I’m cooking, and much more!
It’s a wild ride around the Ewe Ewe universe this week. Not only is it San Diego Yarn Crawl this week but we’re also expecting our big fall yarn shipment to be delivered today. That’s about 3300 pounds of fresh yarn for ALL the fall knitting. Wish me luck, send strength vibes, extra coffee and give me a day to reply to your email since that’s a lot of yarn to get counted.
I dropped THREE new patterns over the weekend and there are TWO more scheduled for Thursday. What a week!
Pattern 1: Tilted Tiles
This beautiful new shawl by Meaghan Schmaltz is such a stunner! Knit with 2 balls of 5 colors of Wooly Worsted merino yarn, Tilted Tiles is big, lush and fabulous. Grab it today with your subscriber code: NEWSLETTER20
Pattern 2: Fluffy Stripe Sweater
Another incredible design by my friend Meaghan Schmaltz! The Fluffy Stripe Sweater is knit in Ewe Ewe Fluffy Fingering yarn with a light, loose gauge making it the perfect transition piece for fall. The sweater is knit in one piece from the bottom up with clever short row set-in sleeves. Grab it today with your subscriber code: NEWSLETTER20
Pattern 3: Shade Shifter
I talked about the Shade Shifter a couple of weeks ago and here it is! This color work beanie is easy and fun to knit. Use 5 colors of Wooly Worsted merino yarn to make your own blend. I have tons of ideas for color combos; what colors will you choose? Grab it today with your subscriber code: NEWSLETTER20
What I’m working on: Prickly!
I teased this photo out on my Instagram account this week. What do you think of this new hat?
I named it Prickly and it’s a fun choose-your-own adventure type of pattern. Each cacti has its own little chart so you can pick your favorites and build your own succulent garden!
Watch for this new pattern on Thursday!
I hope you have had a creative week. Leave me a comment to let me know what you’ve been up to!
