I’ve had cables on the brain this week so this beautiful pair of socks leapt right off the page at me! Galiano Socks are designed with a gorgeous stag-horn cable down the middle of the sock to really make them memorable.

Tracie Millar designed these socks while on vacation because while their a cable pattern she says there are “a lot of cruise rows” in between the cables so you can really kick back and enjoy just knitting. While the pattern may look complicated but there’s a lot of just knits and purls on each pattern repeat.

The Galiano Socks would look fabulous in ANY color. The original looks like a nice Brushed Silver but this other Forest Fern pair has me thinking I could knit some for my husband! What do you think?

I love nearly everything tincanknits produces. Their patterns are fabulous, their photos are gorgeous, and their tutorials are so helpful and well written.

So I was happy to see that they’ve adapted one of their most popular worsted weight sock patterns, Rye, into Rye Light! Rye Light uses fingering weight yarn, is sized for the whole family and would look great in any color of Ewe Ewe Fluffy Fingering merino yarn. Win!

Plus, there is an entire tutorial on their website about how to work each part of these socks! Check it out.

I have been holding my breath and waiting to show you these socks! Ewe Heart Socks was the first pattern I thought of when I dreamed up my new Fluffy Fingering merino yarn.

I called my friend Meaghan at The Unapologetic Knitter and said, “Will you design me socks with HEARTS all over them?” 💗 She did!

Look at all those adorable eyelet hearts! I love them so much because they match the Ewe Ewe Yarns logo and they keep the socks interesting as you knit them.

We made these socks in Fluffy Fingering and I love how the twist of this yarn really pops the stitch definition on the heart design.

You can choose any color to knit your hearts. We made our set in Berry but Red Velvet, Aquamarine or Iris Blossom would all look fabulous, too!

I love to browse through Ravelry to come up with knitting patterns that people can use Ewe Ewe yarns to make and these Red Robin Socks just kept drawing my eye. They look so cozy!

Helen Stewart of Curious Handmade designed the Red Robin Socks to be reminiscent of the friendly red robin poking around in a springtime garden. The stitch pattern looks lush and the colors tell the story.

I think the combination of Fluffy Fingering in Wheat with Red Velvet accents would look perfect but these socks would also look great in any color combo! I found a few alternative colors that we could try.

I thought this gray pair by WillowGroveKnits on Ravelry looked great. We could do Red Velvet for the top with Brushed Silver on the ankle and foot.

What if we go for the robin’s egg instead? I love traceyrr’s brighter pair and we could use Aquamarine and Saffron Fluffy Fingering yarn to get this kind of look.

Or take a cue from the original and grab that Red Velvet and Wheat!

Are you familiar with the magical color combination of “grellow”? Gray + yellow = grellow!

There’s just something dynamic about how cool gray and warm yellow play off of each other to create a stunning look every time. Meet the Grellow Love socks designed by Clare Devine.

I love the way the designer Clare Devine used the colors on these socks. The Grellow Love socks are knit from the toe up starting with the contrasting color. The foot is worked in the main color of gray and then the heel is split with the contrasting color again.

I’ve never seen this unique color divide at the heel and I totally love it!

I think the combination of Fluffy Fingering in Charcoal and Saffron would look awesome in these. You could also do Brushed Silver and Saffron or what about Charcoal and Citrus?! So many great grellow combos!

Plus, I threw in that awesome Charcoal and Aquamarine combo for you to ponder. :)

Christmas Eve Socks by Anna Lange

Let’s wrap up the festive December Socks on Saturday collection with these free Christmas Eve Socks! The pattern is simple stranded knitting with trees and other cute motifs. I like how the designer changed the background color from white to red and back again throughout the socks.

I put together some fun color combinations of Fluffy Fingering merino yarn below. You could do Forest Fern trees with a Wheat backdrop.

Red Velvet trees with a Vanilla backdrop would make a richer version of the original design.

And then I thought a Saffron tree could look excellent on a Brushed Silver backdrop. Take a look!
