I design the Ewe Ewe color palette to work as one unit. Each color has its place and purpose and as we grow I will continue to add colors that fit with this cheery bunch!

Fall is coming and that's when we add new yarns. What colors would you like to see? Any ideas? Tell us!

Local Yarn Shop Day {new pattern SNEAK PEEK!}

TNNA_LYSDay_FacebookEvent.jpg

Have you heard about Local Yarn Store Day? Also known as LYS Day, this event is going to be a ton of fun! It's all about getting in your favorite store and supporting why they're there. The community that a local yarn shop provides is unmatched with other retail stores or finding yarn online. April 21 is a new holiday to show your favorite LYS how much you love them.

You know I love my Ewe Ewe yarn shops. Having managed a yarn store for three years, I have a great understanding of what it takes to create a welcoming environment day in and day out. These shop owners what you to have a great experience every time you come to their store and Ewe Ewe is here to help. Meet our LYS Day exclusive design... Ewe So Summer

Ewe So Summer is designed by The Unapologetic Knitter using Ewe So Sporty merino yarn from Ewe Ewe. It's a great pattern that uses slipped stitches and a modified seed stitch to create tiny transitioning pockets of color. Pretty perfect!

Two ball Ewe So Sporty knitting and crochet projects

I love to have a little project on my needles at all times. I enjoy making sweaters and larger garments but a quick project that I'll finish faster is a must for me! Here's some of my favorite two-ball patterns using Ewe So Sporty yarn.

Rush is a lace and solid stripe cowl that's light enough for warmer months and pretty enough to add a little pop of color on a gray day. The sample here is shown in Teal and Aquamarine Ewe So Sporty yarn. There's tons of other tone-on-tone options, too. Try Sapphire and Sky Blue!

Do you like to crochet? The Bohemian Grove cowl pattern is quick to whip up and the fringe is just to die for! It uses just two balls of Ewe So Sporty yarn.

Give one a try!

Basync Brioche Cowls by Meaghan Schmaltz

Meet Basync Brioche. These two new cowls designed by Meaghan Schmaltz are knit in a simple brioche design and are a great starting project for a knitter new to this unique stitch. The cowls abruptly switch the main color and contrasting color at the midway point giving them a stunning graphic quality.

These cowls were designed in Ewe So Sporty yarn specifically for its color choices. Our color pairings are second-to-none! Combine one ball of Sky Blue and one of Sapphire to make the smaller cowl; two balls of Soft Sage and Pistachio for the larger. Or maybe try Vanilla and Black Licorice, Lavender and Indigo, Aquamarine and Teal, Cotton Candy and Red Poppy. There are so many tone-on-tone color combinations that will look great! See Ewe So Sporty yarn >

Basync Brioche knitting pattern features two sizes. The small blue version is the perfect size to throw on to accent an outfit or tuck inside a jacket. It's 24" around and will be so squishy and soft.

The green version worked in Soft Sage and Pistachio is a generous 61" circumference infinity scarf that can be wrapped two or even three times for a dramatic drape or super cuddly cowl.

Give them a try! Get the Basync Brioche cowl on unapologeticknitter.com or on Ravelry. See Ewe So Sporty yarn.

Ewe Ewe Yarns Top Best-Sellers List!

That's right! Ewe So Sporty and Wooly Worsted yarns by Ewe Ewe have topped the best-selling yarns list at NobleKnits.com. First place went to Wooly Worsted and second place Ewe So Sporty, both great, washable merino yarns. I know I'm always talking about how nice the yarn is and how bouncy it is to knit but it really is true!

From their post it sounds like all of the favorite yarns are great. "The results are in and it’s time to look at the most popular yarns for 2015. Knitters went for tried and true quality fibers that were soft, colorful and easy care, too!"

Take a look at their entire list and also read some of the 5-star product reviews on their website!

New Year, New Awesome Patterns!

The start of 2016 brings a great partnership with new friends. Maybe you had guessed by the December giveaway, but Ewe So Sporty is the featured yarn for the January PostStitch boxes! And there's two great patterns tucked inside the package designed by Heidi Gustad of Hands Occupied.

GAH! I am dying from the cute! Heidi really outdid herself with these two patterns. The Funkasonic Mittens and the Funkasonic Mukluks are so fun! Can you believe how many types of stripes are up there? I love just how funky the Funkasonic set is! (That's so going to be my word of 2016, funkasonic, funkasonic, that hat is funkasonic!)

Super cute! Can I get a kit?

Yes you can! Head over to PostStitch and place an order.
