Silverthorne Baby Blanket by Emily Ringelman

The latest issue of Knitscene Handmade contains a beautiful, modern baby blanket using our washable Wooly Worsted yarn. This special issue of knitscene celebrates the handmade lifestyle and highlights independent designers and small yarn companies. Ewe Ewe Yarns was lucky enough to be a part of this special issue and even more fortunate to have Emily Ringelman design this stunning creation, the Silverthorne Baby Blanket

I love the Saffron and Brushed Silver color combination. It's not a typical baby color palette but rather one that looks great in any home.

Striped Transition Scarf in Knit Simple Winter 2013

I am beyond excited to show off my newest design in Knit Simple magazine! The Winter 2013 issue hits newsstands on December 10th. And inside you'll find this big, warm color-changing scarf.

The Striped Transition Scarf has three color block sections that transition from yellow to light green to green all while alternating with stripes of a warm orange. In Wooly Worsted yarn that translates to Lemon Chiffon, Soft Sage and Pistachio color blocks with stripes of Saffron.

The Striped Transition Scarf is also knit in the round so it works up quickly and you can carry all those color transitions up on the inside so they're hidden and there's not a million ends to weave in when you're done. Here's a photo of the design just before I mailed it to the magazine. It's big and lovely especially in Wooly Worsted merino

Here is the magazine and the pattern details:

Published! My first magazine knitting pattern!

"Designed by Heather Walpole." Hooray! It's fun to see your own name in print! I'm very excited to see my Color Swap Mitts in the Holiday 2011 issue of Love of Knitting magazine. I designed these mitts to be long and kinda slouchy on the wrists. They're very comfortable to wear and super soft because of the yarn, Scrumptious by Kolláge Yarns. Scrumptious is a blend of silk and angora and it is really as lovely as it sounds. I hope you'll stop by the bookstore and grab a copy of this issue.
