Get to know us!

We were interviewed by Johnny Vasquez from while at TNNA. We talk about the design philosophy behind Ewe Ewe and why we love our Wooly Worsted!

Fiberstory: Hi, I'm here with Heather Walpole and she has a brand new yarn called Ewe Ewe. She's also a knitwear designer and she's going to tell us a little bit more about her company. Heather, can you tell us a little bit about the concept behind your brand?

Heather: Well, it's a worsted merino superwash and I love color so I brought out a color palette in the colors I love. They're hip and fresh and modern.

Fiberstory: Cool, so what's the whole line like?

Heather: We design patterns that are for kids and adults, they're quick projects that are fun to knit and get you on to the next thing. They make gifts and they're fun to work on!

Fiberstory: Very cool! So what do you have in your hand here?

Heather: Oh! This is Wooly Worsted Washable and it's 100% merino superwash. The colors are bright and they stay true when you wash them. Knit it, wash it, love it! And then this is our little Wooly mascot in my hand.

Fiberstory: Cool, and he's here on my button. And now what's this cowl that you have on here?

Heather: This is the Caramel Corn Cowl.

Fiberstory: Ok, and that's like a bramble stitch?

Heather: It's actually called a popcorn stitch, that's why I called it the Caramel Corn Cowl! I'm very into food names. This is berry Wooly Worsted, this caramel color. Then we have chocolate and vanilla.

Fiberstory: So where can people go online to learn more about your company?

Heather: If you go to you can see all of our yarns and all of our patterns on there, and we have a great blog that's very active. You can also find us on Ravelry, Twitter and Facebook.

Fiberstory: Cool! Well, thank you so much for sharing with us!

Heather: Thank you, Johnny! It was great to meet you!
