Twinkle, twinkle, little toes. I am smitten with these Starry Night Socks designed by Linda Fridholm! Inspired by the twinkling stars on a cold winter night, these socks use three colors to create tiny stars and different patterns.

Socks on Saturday: Flip-Flop Socks!

Each Socks on Saturday highlights an inspirational sock pattern that can be knit with Ewe Ewe Fluffy Fingering yarn.

Whoever said you’re not supposed to wear socks and flip flops was clearly not a knitter.

The Sidewalk Talk Flip-Flop Socks are MADE to be worn with flip flops because they’re adorable and sometimes your feet get cold.

The designer, Staci Perry has a video series on get started on these socks including Judy’s Magic Cast-On and also how to measure your toes for length. Kinda fun!

What color do you want on your flip flop socks?! What’s your summer bright?

Welcome to June! It’s time to find that perfect summer knitting project and I think these Shortie Fade Sox might just be the thing to keep your needles clicking as the weather warms up.

The designer says she started knitting these to create some cute, quick socks for her self but she had so much fun making them that she’s knit 5 more pairs for her family.

“I used to be the person who suffered from second sock syndrome, but with this pattern, that never happened,” says Anneknitty on Ravelry.

I can see why! Every few rows you get to do something new like change color or work a new pattern section.

Ewe Ewe Fluffy Fingering yarn comes in the perfect shade of Berry and Aquamarine to make these socks just like the photo. Or you could go with a crazy Iris Blossom and Citrus Pop combo. I say go bold or go home!

What to Make: Ewe So Summer shawl by Meaghan Schmaltz

Welcome to our weekly feature, What to Make Wednesday! The yarns here at Ewe Ewe are so versatile and I love to share ideas about what you can knit with them.

Ewe So Summer shawl designed by Meaghan Schmaltz for Ewe Ewe Yarns

Ewe So Summer shawl designed by Meaghan Schmaltz for Ewe Ewe Yarns

The unofficial start to summer is here and I thought we’d celebrate with the magnificent Ewe So Summer shawl! Ewe So Summer was a huge hit as our the 2018 LYS Day project and now that it’s 2019 the pattern is available everywhere. Yay!

Meaghan Schmaltz designed this shawl to have a playful color blend from beginning to end. Even though the pattern looks like it might have stranded knitting, it doesn’t! The shift effect comes from slipping stitches and alternating colors on different rows. Basically, exciting stripes!

Now, let’s talk about my favorite topic: COLOR COMBINATIONS! 😍

I think the possibilities for color mixing is endless. Check out our Ewe So Sporty yarn to find a combo you love or take a look at the kits I created!

Maybe you’d like the original Ewe So Summer combo or maybe you’d like a brighter, cooler palette called Ewe So Spring?

Or perhaps you’d like a moody Ewe So Autumn shawl with rich Charcoal running throughout. Or a super icy Ewe So Wintery shawl might be your favorite to wear!

Take a look at all 8 color combinations on our kit page. There’s even a few tonal options with pretty blues and greens. See Ewe So Summer shawl yarn kits.

Choose your own color combo: Ewe Ewe Yarns Ewe So Sporty merino yarn.
