Baby Beard Knitting Pattern

Ahoy, Maties!

Talk Like a Pirate Day is a quirky holiday borne out of a joke between friends but has become a hilarious day of treasure maps, peglegs, and cute kids talking in a pirate accent. Arg!

Our Baby Beard knitting pattern makes the perfect addition to this whimsical holiday! View the Baby Beard pattern >

A Color Palette with Intention

The IKEA catalog came today and I have to say I’m always more than a little excited when it’s catalog day. I was lucky enough to start my career as a graphic designer with IKEA North America doing graphics for all the stores in the US and Canada. I left to pursue a career in yarn but my passion for IKEA has never diminished. (Read more about me.) Needless to say when I saw the 2018 cover today I went twirling around my house!

Look how perfectly I can match my Ewe Ewe Yarns palette to this color scheme! Ewe Ewe isn’t just a wild idea; it’s a thoughtfully planned out product line where each color has its place and can work in a multitude of ways with many other colors in the line. Thanks, IKEA for this little treat today!

Wooly Wednesday: What's in my knitting bag?

What's in my #knitting bag? A Penpal Hat in Charcoal Wooly Worsted merino and my notions. #wip

I love Wednesdays because that means it's Wooly Wednesday! That's our Ewe Ewe version of WIP Wednesday where I talk about what I'm knitting or my Work In Progress. This week I'm making a Penpal Hat. It's one of the first patterns I designed for Ewe Ewe and it is fun to knit. The Penpal Hat has a chunky lace pattern. It's hard to see the lace pattern in this photo but click over here to check it out. I'll be sure to show my finished version on the blog.

Also, are you on Flickr? Yes? Come join the What's in my knitting bag group and post what you're working on every Wednesday!

Wooly Wednesday: Timber Hat!

Here's a new fun weekly post, Wooly Wednesday! Every Wednesday I'll post a project knit by someone else using Wooly Worsted. The project might be our pattern, a modified pattern or someone else's knitting pattern.

This week I wanted to show you my friend Jenni's Timber! Hat that she knit for her daughter. Jenni added stripes at the crown and did a beautiful job with her Fair Isle knitting. So cute!

Too fun! You can find more info about the Timber! Hat here. Maybe your daughter would like one, too!

Happy knitting!
