Color Work: Help us add to the rainbow!

eweewe_colorwheel.jpg

I design the Ewe Ewe color palette to work as one unit. Each color has its place and purpose and as we grow I will continue to add colors that fit with this cheery bunch!

Fall is coming and that's when we add new yarns. What colors would you like to see? Any ideas? Tell us!

A Color Palette with Intention

The IKEA catalog came today and I have to say I’m always more than a little excited when it’s catalog day. I was lucky enough to start my career as a graphic designer with IKEA North America doing graphics for all the stores in the US and Canada. I left to pursue a career in yarn but my passion for IKEA has never diminished. (Read more about me.) Needless to say when I saw the 2018 cover today I went twirling around my house!

Look how perfectly I can match my Ewe Ewe Yarns palette to this color scheme! Ewe Ewe isn’t just a wild idea; it’s a thoughtfully planned out product line where each color has its place and can work in a multitude of ways with many other colors in the line. Thanks, IKEA for this little treat today!

Great Northern Pattern Book Pre-Order Event!

I'm so excited to see one of my favorite designers, Leah Coccari-Swift, publish her first book! Great Northern is a knitwear pattern collection inspired by the TV show Twin Peaks and there's an amazing pillow pattern using our Wooly Worsted yarn in the book.

You may remember when I talked about the inspiration for this pillow design a few months ago. It was awesome to see the finished piece at TNNA and now I'm so excited to see the book soon, too!

Now through July 31 you can pre-order the Great Northern print edition with free shipping. Click through to Leah's blog for more details and to place your order >

Ewe Ewe Yarns Top Best-Sellers List!

That's right! Ewe So Sporty and Wooly Worsted yarns by Ewe Ewe have topped the best-selling yarns list at NobleKnits.com. First place went to Wooly Worsted and second place Ewe So Sporty, both great, washable merino yarns. I know I'm always talking about how nice the yarn is and how bouncy it is to knit but it really is true!

From their post it sounds like all of the favorite yarns are great. "The results are in and it’s time to look at the most popular yarns for 2015. Knitters went for tried and true quality fibers that were soft, colorful and easy care, too!"

Take a look at their entire list and also read some of the 5-star product reviews on their website!

Back to Basics in Creative Knitting Magazine

The Winter 2014 issue of Creative Knitting magazine features some adorable patterns using Ewe Ewe yarns. There is a large knitting pattern feature called Back to Basics that shows off just how wonderful our yarns are for children's garments.

Happy Cheer baby hoodie knitting pattern in Ewe Ewe sport-weight yarn

I love the Happy Cheer baby cardigan! This pattern uses our Ewe So Sporty washable merino yarn in the Wheat color. That means you can knit this for the sweet little guy in your family and then just throw it right in the washer and dryer! Easy care, happy life!

Cambridge Cap & Scarf

This cute Cambridge Cap & Scarf look so cozy and warm for your mini-me. As Creative Knitting says, "Match a deliciously soft yarn with easy stripes and you get instant chic style!" I couldn't have said it better myself! This set uses our Wooly Worsted washable merino yarn in colors Wheat and Sky Blue, a sophisticated and sweet color combo.

Check out the entire issue at creativeknittingmagazine.com or pick it up at your local yarn shop or book store. There's always tons of great patterns in every issue!
