Ewe Heart Socks {lace socks knitting pattern}

Ewe Heart Socks {lace socks knitting pattern}

Is it cold out where you are? It's chilly and drizzling here today. 🌦

But sunshine or snowstorm, there are a few things guaranteed to warm my heart: puppy snuggles 🐕 and a pot of soup on the stove 🍲.

And this might be obvious, but sitting down with a festive knitting project can do it, too. 🧶

Ewe Heart Socks are the sweetest way to get ready for Valentine's Day! 💕

What are the details on the Ewe Heart Socks knitting pattern?

The Ewe Heart Socks are covered in sweet candy hearts all knit in a simple lace pattern.

These socks are knit from the toe up to the heel and then to the ankle of the sock. Take these hearts to your knees if you want!

Designed by Meaghan Schmaltz, Ewe Heart Socks feature a Fledge Heel which means there aren't any pick-ups when you're turning the heel. Neato.

How do I know what size socks to knit?

The Ewe Heart Socks are designed to be a little snug to really show off that lace. When knit with a touch of negative ease, an inch smaller than the circumference of your foot, all of the eyelets will spring to life displaying the cute heart motif. Awesome!

To measure your foot for these socks, you'll want to use a soft tape measure under your foot while standing.

Wrap the tape measure around the widest part of the foot which is usually the area where the toes meet the foot also called the ball of the foot.

Then, to measure the length of the foot, place the 0" of the tape at the back of the heel and run the tape under the foot toward the toes. Stand up and see where the longest toe sits on the tape; this is the length of the foot.

Remember those metal measuring guides at the shoe store? You're doing that but at home!
