Measurements: 3" wide, 21" around; stretches to fit 23-24" head

Yarn: Ewe Ewe Yarns, Wooly Worsted, 95 yards, 50g, 100% merino wool superwash, worsted #4 
MC: 1 skein (20 Red Poppy)

Needles: US 8 (5.0 mm) knitting needles

Supplies: Cable needle, yarn needle

Gauge: 28 sts to 4" in k1, p1 rib

Tip: A set of double-pointed needles is great for this project. Knit back and forth with two then use a third to work the cable in the middle!

Advanced: Try a provisional cast on to begin and then graft the ends together with Kitchener stitch for a seamless headband.

Easy to follow for beginners or returners to knitting

I haven't done any knitting for years but have just retired from a very busy work life and now have time to spend on creative hobbies. This pattern is very easy to follow and quick to knit so is a great re-introduction to knitting.
